Big news: the 2026 X Games League Summer Draft happens March 5, 2026, at Cosm Los Angeles.

They’re actually doing a draft for skaters.

Picture the best in skateboarding getting picked for teams, lights blazing, crowd buzzing. What a time to be alive.

Annie Lokesh, head of X Games League, says this marks a new era as the scene moves from invite-only contests to a full-on co-ed professional league.

Think teams, seasons, storylines, and bigger stages.

Holding it at Cosm, one of L.A.’s most high-tech venues, just makes it more electric.

They’re pulling from a list of 150+ skateboarders and BMX riders worldwide.

Four teams will each select ten riders, five men and five women, for a true pro-league setup. Expect cameras, hype, and maybe a little chaos when the picks start rolling out.

It’s definitely a shift.

Skateboarding has always been about freedom, not drafts or contracts. But this is part of where the culture’s heading: bringing skate energy into a league format without killing its roots.

As more riders and managers get announced, we’ll see who ends up repping each squad. Until then, all eyes are on L.A.

Launching in 2026, the X Games League (XGL) is the first year-round, team-based, co-ed league in action sports. It’ll feature eight city-based teams, four summer and four winter, made up of the world’s top riders. They’ll be battling for what’s shaping up to be the most coveted trophy in action sports.
