SKATE EVENT

Japan’s Street Skate Takeover Continues

Japan has been running the street skate world for a minute, but World Skateboarding Tour World Cup Kitakyushu 2025 (WST Kitakyushu 2025) might be the biggest proof yet.

From November 26 to 30, the best skaters on the planet are rolling into Kitakyushu Messe, but honestly, this one feels like home turf for the locals.

Japan is on fire with their skaters 🔥

Right now, Japan has twelve skaters in the World Skateboarding Rankings Top 10 across men’s and women’s street.

That’s wild.

Names like Toa Sasaki, Ginwoo Onodera, Sora Shirai and Yuto Horigome are already pushing the limits on the men’s side.

The women’s lineup is just as stacked with Coco Yoshizawa, Funa Nakayama and Momiji Nishiya leading the way. These are skaters who blend technical power with clean style, the type who can win a contest and inspire a whole fit trend at the same time.

Practice runs go down from the 23rd to the 25th, giving everyone a little time to lock in lines, but qualifiers kick things into gear on the 26th.

Finals hit on the 29th and 30th and everything will be streamed live, so expect your feed to be full of clips.

What makes this stop feel different is how naturally it fits into Japan’s growing skate culture.

The scene isn’t just in Tokyo or Osaka anymore. Cities like Kitakyushu are stepping into the spotlight with real energy and real support. When the world shows up here, they’re stepping into a place where skateboarding, fashion and street culture already move together.

Cup Kitakyushu isn’t just another event. It’s another reason Japan is still the place to beat in street skateboarding.

That’s it for today —

See you tomorrow for the freshest clips and features. Who knows, you might be featured next! So keep ‘em clips coming!
